Food Service

Roycemore is pleased to partner with HandCut Foods, a local Chicago company, as our food service provider. HandCut is committed to delivering the freshest, highest-quality dishes, made from scratch and with whole ingredients.

Making an appealing lunch for students from age 3 through seniors in high school is a challenge that HandCut welcomes. In addition to working with us to satisfy students’ tastes, HandCut menus feature meatless or vegan options, and gluten-free alternatives, and they do their best to accommodate for other dietary restrictions if needed. HandCut also prepares the daily snacks for our youngest students. 

HandCut builds Roycemore custom menus around seasonal, whole ingredients, many of which come from nearby Midwest farms, and with input from school staff. They also listen closely to faculty and students for feedback, even meeting with a student focus group to refine their offerings as needed.  HandCut’s team includes full-time registered dietitians who oversee menus to ensure that meals are as nutritionally balanced as they are responsibly sourced.

Ordering Instructions

The HandCut Foods team is excited to be a part of the Roycemore community and return to in-person cafeteria service! We have made a number of improvements to our meal programs by partnering with the web-based application, Boonli. Two new program options make ordering easier than ever:

  1. Buy A Monthly Meal Plan - One transaction for a month's worth of meals
  2. Add Funds for Walk-up Purchases - No need to pre-order! Just add funds and the cost will be deducted in the lunch line
