Our world-class Board of Trustees is committed to helping Roycemore students succeed in and outside the classroom.
Our Board members voluntarily serve three-year terms in support of Roycemore School. Trustees provide fiduciary and strategic support as well as generative leadership. Together, the Head of School and the Board of Trustees ensure the school’s mission and vision is being pursued.

Linda is an alumna of Roycemore School. Her legacy includes her sister ‘66, daughter ‘95, and 2 grandchildren who are current Roycemore students. Her various teaching experiences over the years reinforced her commitment to independent education and Roycemore School.
A retired Congressional government employee, she experienced the electoral and legislative process first hand. Her paralegal certification was helpful in her many years of immigration work. Linda served on the Board of Directors at Chicago Tube and Iron Company, a successful steel servicing business, for twenty years.
Much of her outside time was spent volunteering in various capacities such as with the Junior League of Evanston, the Northbrook United Methodist Church, and Glenbrook Hospital. Early retirement has allowed for more community involvement, travel, gardening, and time with family and friends.
Mairead Reidy

Mairead and her husband Canice Prendergast live in Chicago and are the parents of two boys, the eldest a Roycemore Upper School student. Born and raised in Ireland, she received a Ph.D. in Sociology and Social Policy at Oxford University in England. Since moving to the U.S. she has spent her research career at the Chapin Hall Center for Children at the University of Chicago working on state, federal, and international child well-being. Dr. Reidy is currently involved in a variety of refugee and food security programs in Chicago and beyond.

Marisa de la Torre is a senior research associate at the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research. Her work focuses on the public schools in Chicago. Her research interests include urban school reform, school choice, early indicators of school success, and English learners. Before joining the Consortium, Marisa worked for the Chicago Public Schools in the Office of Research, Evaluation, and Accountability.
In her free time, she enjoys yoga, making puzzles, reading, and watching Star Trek episodes. Marisa grew up in Madrid, Spain, later moved to Evanston, and got a degree from Northwestern University. Her daughter, Ela, attended high school at Roycemore and graduated in 2021.

Michael Adams is a partner at Mayer Brown in the Chicago office and co-leader of the Global Management & Internet practice and has over 20 years of experience in practicing intellectual property law. He represents clients in a wide range of IP matters, including trademark litigation and Trademark Trial and Appeal proceedings; national and international advertising campaigns; international brand management including trademark clearance, filing, prosecution, maintenance, and portfolio management. Michael received his B.S. in Economics and Political Science from Illinois State University and graduated from DePaul University College of Law.
Michael is the proud parent of two amazing children at Roycemore in the Lower School who are thriving in Roycemore’s nurturing, supportive, and progressive environment.
Nicole Woodward Iliev

Nicole Woodward Iliev is currently the Chief Operations Officer at the McGaw YMCA. She holds a master’s degree from the Stanford University School of Graduate Education. Nicole has over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, administrator, and Executive Director. Nicole was the Executive Director of Garfield Charter School in Redwood City, California, a community school serving grades PreK -8th, before returning to Evanston. She is also the founding Director of the University of Chicago Charter School, Donoghue Campus, a Pre-K through 5th grade school focused on creating educational equity.
Nicole’s son attended Roycemore from Pre-K through eighth grade.

Tom has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for more than 10 years. He has led the Board through the school’s acquisition and relocation of its campus to 1200 Davis Street, Head of School searches, and long-term strategic planning. Tom and his wife, Lynn, are the proud parents of two Roycemore “lifers” who continuously attended the school from pre-K through Grade 12. Tom works as the Director of Litigation for Nolan Law Group, a Chicago-based trial law firm, where he advocates for victims of aviation accidents and other catastrophic accidents. In addition to his volunteer work at Roycemore, Tom currently serves on the Development Committee for his independent school alma mater in St. Louis- Thomas Jefferson School and devotes other time to the Brain Injury Association of Illinois.
Tim Costello

Tim Costello has over 20 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, Vice Principal, Division Head, and Head of School. Upon graduation from Villanova University with a degree in business administration, Tim participated in a volunteer program, placing recent college graduates in inner-city schools. He taught fifth grade in California while earning a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from the University of San Francisco. During his final two years in the Bay Area, Tim assumed the role of vice-principal in addition to his teaching responsibilities. He then moved to Seattle to teach fifth grade at an independent school for gifted students for four years. Tim was then named founding middle school head at Open Window School in Bellevue, WA. After Washington, Tim was named the 7th Head of School for the Science & Arts Academy in Chicago. Tim is active in the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and is a member of the Illinois Collation for Non-Public Schools. He also serves on the board of the Lake Michigan Association of Independent Schools.
Tim is an avid sports fan, especially of all four professional teams from Philadelphia, where he was born and raised, as well as Villanova basketball. He has warmed up to embracing the Cubs as his second favorite baseball team. Tim enjoys traveling, with a special fondness for road trips and visits to national parks with his wife Ana and four children.
Victoria Fromm

Victoria Fromm has spent more than 35 years advising enterprises and families on complex financial and banking matters. She is currently engaged in financial consulting. Victoria began her career at The First National Bank of Chicago and retired from its successor organization, JPMorgan, where she was a Managing Director responsible for leading a team of investment, fiduciary and banking professionals. Victoria is a graduate of Miami University and earned her Master of Business Administration from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. Her past board and volunteer affiliations revolve in education and youth, including Chicago Arts Partnership for Education, Girls Scouts Illinois Crossroads Council, Omni Youth Services and Wings. She is a proud parent of a 2020 Roycemore graduate, and a fervent believer in the power of education grounded in individual strengths.
